Peter David Wilder

Peter David Wilder writes from his home in upstate New York. His books revolve around themes of personal freedom and altruism, with a keen eye on the relationships we have with our natural environment.

In 1983, Wilder set off on a journey across the United States and Canada. He faithfully preserved the record of his adventure in his third book, 'An Amazingly Kind Universe.'

'An Amazingly Kind Universe' received 'Finalist' status in the 2014 National Indie Excellence Awards.

Wilder's earlier works include 'Sweet Unpleasant Realities' (2008) and 'The Antidote to Time: Lessons from the Dream.' (2010.)

'Sweet Unpleasant Realities' follows Matthew Benjamin Harkfel, an idealistic and complex savant, across a landscape of magical realism. Based loosely on Dante's 'Divine Comedy,' Matthew must navigate from a tortured underworld to existential freedom.

'The Antidote to Time' is a short collection of related essays exploring intersections between different contemplative traditions.
