Neil M. C. Sinclair

Afro-Celtic author Neil M. C. Sinclair is a native of Tiger Bay, the oldest multi-ethnic community in Wales, and a well-respected local historian. He has written extensively on the history of his unique hometown. Indeed, the text on the rear of the first edition of The Tiger Bay Story, declares that this “is the first book to provide an insider’s view of life in Old Tiger Bay. Drawing on personal memories, family history and interviews with old-timers the book is an account of an aspect of Welsh heritage that is all too frequently overlooked. Humourous yet serious, this is a book everyone will enjoy. His other works include: The Cardiff Bay Experience, Endangered Tiger – A Community Under Threat, A Nightmare in Yemen, a personal narrative Voodoo Detective – A True Story, the play Tiger Bay Moonshadows and his latest offering Is The Bible African History. On BBC television the author appears in the 2016 production of Forgotten Warriors of World War I. Also from 2016, on the BBC News website his information is widely used in Rise of towers and fall of Tiger Bay, while on YouTube he can be seen conducting a history walk in A Stroll Through Tiger Bay and also heard narrating the animated short film Tiger Bay Nation. Now the author has also taken part in the new BBC four part programme on Black British History.
