Leonid R. Gavrilov

Leonid R. Gavrilov, DSc, PhD, was born in Russia in 1938. He is an internationally recognized specialist on medical applications of ultrasound, author and co-author of 5 books (in Russian), 150 papers and 18 patents related to this field. In 1988 he was awarded by the Certificate "History of Medical Ultrasound. Pioneer Award." (WFUMB, AIUM). He is working at the Acoustics Institute, Moscow, as a Principle Research Scientist. His first own book in English is "Use of Focused Ultrasound for Stimulation of Various Neural Structures” published in 2014 by Nova Science Publishers.
