Keith Ryan Kappel

Keith Ryan Kappel is a freelance writer living in his native Chicago, Illinois. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Fiction Writing in 2011, and is currently pursuing freelance writing opportunities in several forms of media, including short fiction, novels, comic books, and gaming. Keith co-founded and acted as a lead writer and editor for Fandom Comics, and has worked as a freelance writer for Fantasy Flight Games on their Star Wars: Edge of the Empire and Star Wars: Age of Rebellion lines.

Before pursuing a career in prose, Keith was a proud member of the United States Navy, where he served as an Intelligence Specialist from 1997-2001. Keith served at both Naval Space Command and the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) during his tenure, and received an honorable discharge.

When not scrambling to meet deadlines, or occupying either side of the local tavern, Keith enjoys jogging, shooting pool, playing paintball, reading, and keeping up with all things nerdy.
