Paula lives in a small lakeside town in Oregon, with her husband and two cats. Her house is not self-aware, unfortunately. When not writing, she reads, rows, reads, knits, reads, kayaks, reads, and sometimes hangs out with friends who are flesh and blood rather than ink or electrons.

In her previous life, Paula worked at companies in a variety of industries, from under a hundred to over a hundred thousand employees. She saw the pitfalls of not having well-documented and controlled process - and the hazards of having too many processes. Her book Successful Business Process Management provides the fundamentals of process systems, in a clear and readable format, to help you figure out what's right for your business. She's now pivoted from flowcharts to fantasy with the publication of the cozy fantasy A Home in Percival and its upcoming sequel, The Heart of Percival.
