Sam Milner

Sam was born in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, May 2, 1949, and raised in Western North Carolina residing in Hendersonville, Flat Rock and Asheville. As a singer/songwriter, Sam began performing his original material in the Raleigh ~ Chapel Hill area of North Carolina in the early 1970s. In the mid-70s he was a founding member of the Lariat Sam Band, launching his 40-year career in the music business. In the mid-80s, Sam established his music publishing affiliation with BMI creating Town Mountain Music. During that same period of time he began collaborating with songwriter Malcolm Holcombe and producer Steven Heller of UpStream Records in Asheville, resulting in the recordings: “Trademark” and “Highway Bound.” In the mid-90s, Sam partnered with producer Bob Hensley in Southern Pines establishing the record label, Driving Records. Recording collaborations include: “Urban Cuisine” and “Live Oak Island ~ Live.” In 2005 Sam began recording with brother and producer Nathan Milner at his studio in Asheville. Recording collaborations include: “Song Weaver” … “Life On The Spanish Main” … “Uka-holics Anonymous” … “The Rewind Collection” ... "Turtle Tracks" ... "Rogue Wave."

Seajay was born in Arizona and raised in the foothills of Pennsylvania where she became a multi-media artist and illustrator. Seajay creates art pieces from natural and recyclable materials and sells them on-line and at art festivals throughout the Southeast. Together, Sam and Seajay created Sea Dunes Books in 2012. Having written, illustrated and published more than thirty books of their own — the couple have edited, illustrated and published dozens of books for a number of other authors.
