Giselle Ates

Giselle Ates is a writer originally from Texas but currently living in North Carolina. While working as a Registered Nurse in Texas, she began exploring her passion for storytelling. Her experiences in healthcare deeply influenced the themes and insights found in her novels, Fractured Reflections and Sinister Reflections, as well as her children’s books, where she often weaves in empathy, resilience, the complexities of human nature, and the value of journaling.

After leaving her nursing career to pursue teaching, Giselle found new inspiration for her writing, developing educational plays such as her Shakespeare Blinged Out series. She also authored stories like The Adventures of Mitzie Mae the Texas Aussie and organized Mystery Party fundraisers to engage her students. Her dedication extended beyond the classroom as she collaborated with her classes to create books and mentored individual children in their own writing and publishing journeys.

For over two decades, Giselle hosted Author Parties and library displays through academic and service organizations. These events inspired hundreds of students to publish their first books and fostered a lasting love of reading and writing within her community, with many former students crediting her encouragement as the spark that ignited their literary pursuits.

Eventually, Giselle chose to focus fully on her writing and publishing ambitions. She continues to draw on her diverse experiences, preferring to write educational fiction that empowers young readers. Currently, she is working on a few more children’s books for her Educational Storybook series and Super Kiddo the Superhero series, along with several independent children’s titles as well as her third novel, The Widow of Watergroves.
