I am the author of "Ishinnie", "The Diary of a Broken Heart", "The Strange Adventures of Mavis Street", "The Knowing", "Violet's Story" and a collection of short stories called "Little Whispers", all available as e-books or paperbacks. On 2nd November 2014, I won the Ultimate Planet (New) Author of the Year Award.

"Ishinnie" is the love stories of Annie and her son, Jim, set in a world where everyone has same-sex relationships and straight couples are met with prejudice and outrage. This novel follows Annie and her perfect love - Ishinnie - of Christina and what a life of love really means and Jim, their son, who loves women and has to come to terms with what this means, and how this will affect his relationships with his mothers.

"The Strange Adventures of Mavis Street" follows the life of Mavis Street, dwarf adventurer and her escapades with her best friend and part-time lover, the Swedish fisherman Sven. Mavis runs a funeral parlour, a casino and a strip club but her life is turned on its heels when she falls in love with the mysterious Eladora Diodata. Through her, Mavis will discover true love and heart-break.

"The Knowing" is the first in a trilogy featuring Glasgow psychic Jen Keith and her police officer girlfriend, Kate Coutts. I am currently writing the second instalment, "A Love Like Ishinnie." Planet of the Books reviewed "The Knowing" and said..."...this book is probably one of the best I've ever read" giving five out of five stars.

My novel "The Diary of a Broken Heart" is about the ordinary life of an over-weight Tesco night shift employee called Viv. Viv loves a good "Heart attack hamburger" and Jeremy Kyle. But she is forced to re-examine her life and her past loves when she is diagnosed with cancer.
