Mary Beth Baptiste has received a Creative Nonfiction Fellowship and two Frank Nelson Doubleday Writing Awards from the Wyoming Arts Council. Her work has appeared in Newsweek, Vermont Literary Review, Wyoming Wildlife, Stonehill Alumni Magazine, Wyoming Fence Lines: An Anthology of Prose and Poetry, and Permanent Vacation: Twenty Writers on Work and Life in Our National Parks.
Altitude Adjustment: A Quest for Love, Home, and Meaning in the Tetons is her first book. The memoir brings to life her wildlife biology work at Grand Teton National Park in the 1990's.
