Nathan Reed

Nathan Reed and his wife, Telma, have been avid backyard tomato gardeners for many years. Nathan was raised on a farm in central Kansas and has always kept up with agricultural and gardening trends. Nathan became intrigued with grafting tomato plants after reading several articles on the subject and began experimenting in his own garden. For several seasons, he continued to research tomato grafting techniques. Nathan familiarized himself with the critical steps for tomato grafting and became successful at starting tomato rootstock and scion seeds, the grafting of the scion plant onto the rootstock plant and healing the graft before transplanting it in the garden. Nathan and Telma both agree that grafted tomates are worth the effort for backyard gardeners to produce beautiful and vigorous tomato plants all season long in the garden. Telma has also written a children's book, A Home for Garth.
