Anne Terry

Anne Terry is the author of the Honest Bob children’s book series and Skwidge: A Squirrel's Tail. She says, “My early life was colored with clichés from my mother: “All that glitters is not gold.” “There’s no use crying over spilled milk.” “Honesty pays.”

As much as it sometimes irritated Ms. Terry to hear them at the time, those little life lessons stayed with her and are still valuable to children today. That’s why her books reflect those values. They can be hard lessons to learn; often, doing the right thing takes courage.
