Sandro Longo

Sandro G. Longo, PhD, is full professor in Hydraulics

at the University of Parma, Italy. His research interests

include sea gravity waves, turbulence, sediment transport,

flows of non-Newtonian fluids, gravity currents.

He currently teaches Hydraulics to undergraduates

and Environmental and Coastal Hydraulics to graduates,

and has written books on Hydraulic Measurements

and Controls and educational textbooks. He

has consulted extensively in the field of Maritime

Hydraulics, designing or participating in the realization

of physical models of hydraulic and hydraulic maritime

works. He was a visiting researcher in

Wallingford (UK) and an academic visitor in Granada

(Spain) and Cambridge (UK).
