Nick Bibby is a writer and public speaking coach. Both of these passions grew from his involvement with debating over the course of the last twenty years or so. He has coached debate in the UK and Asia, served as Registrar or the World Universities Debating Council, Associate Editor of the Monash Debate Review, Director of the Global Debate Census and, as a student, was twice President of the Scottish Students Debating Council. He has spoken at four world debating championships, judged more debating competitions than he cares to remember and has written, thought and opined about debating more than is probably healthy or sensible.
His first book, Adjudication, co-edited with Prof. Stephen M. Llano and World Debating Championship chief adjudicator Sam Block, is a collection of essays on judging competitive debating. His next and most recent work, Discovering the World Through Debate, is a textbook for aspiring debaters and coaches.
He lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland.
