Hi,

I’m now a retired teacher of high school students, but when Stephanie’s Stepside, was first begun I was still teaching and my English and composition students were writing and I told them I would write at the same time they did and at the conclusion of the time set aside those that desired could share their work and if they desired I would share mine. It was during those minutes of writing as part of the period each day for about a week, that the story fragment was begun, and during the sharing the student’s enthusiasm for the fragment led me to the decision to keep it for a time when more writing could be done. Naturally, other necessary school assignments followed and the story fragment was put away for some time. It was after I retired, that I came upon the fragment and decided to see where the fragment would lead.

For me the characters, plot, and setting came alive once again and I became the scribe that was recording their story. About a week after the first book was finished and submitted for publication, I realized that their story was not finished, and so began Episode 2 which became Blood on Toxic Ground. Life events prevented immediate publication, but the story still lived and when circumstances permitted it too was published.

During the intervening period, other episodes of the character’s story were recorded, awaiting the time that the editing could be done to make their story more easily read. That process has been begun and this scribe hopes that interest in their story will allow further episodes to be published.

The setting and conditions that provide the stage for the characters is a real place and the geographical potentials that act on the setting are real, it only awaits the occurrence of events to make the conditions described a catastrophic reality.
