Denny Dormody is a graduate of Ohio University. A veteran. An actor. Dormody has appeared in over 60 movies and over 40 TV shows. Like most actors living in Los Angeles, Dormody auditions for speaking roles while working as a background 'Extra' for Central Casting and other Hollywood casting agencies.
Dormody is the comedy author of "Riding the Hollywood Glacier," "Riding the Hollywood Glacier 2", "Confessions... of an L.A. Funeral Director", a comic and often touching look at his role as perhaps the only active member of the Screen Actors Guild that moonlights to pay the rent as a real-life funeral director. His book "Confessions ...of a Hollywood Movie Extra" chronicles his adventures and misadventures while working as a background actor.
Dormody's 5th comedy book "Once Upon a Time in...L.A., Hollywood, and Other Stories," is out now and available via Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Dormody has appeared in both famous and infamous movies, including The Grifters, Seabiscuit, Atlas Shrugged, Seven Psychopaths, Gangster Squad, Hangover 3, Sharknado, Jersey Boys, Netflix's current thriller 'Aftermath' and many more. He has also appeared in TV shows that include: 24, Grey's Anatomy, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Glee, The Newsroom, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, Scandal, and Bosch.
He has also played a funeral mourner in "Tides" a recent AFI student film.
