James A. Truett is an Irish-based artist, photographer, and author whose uplifting work encourages people to slow down, appreciate the natural world, and See Beauty Everywhere.
A former Associated Press journalist, his images and stories have appeared in major newspapers and media outlets around the world. Today, he is known for creating painterly, nature-inspired artwork that explores beauty, peace, gratitude, and humanity’s relationship with the Earth.
Born in Alaska to an Irish-American family, James eventually retraced his ancestors’ journey and settled in County Clare on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. The Irish landscape continues to inspire much of his creative work.
His artwork has been exhibited internationally, including New York, Paris, London, Dubai, Hong Kong, Athens, and Zurich. Through his art, photography, and books, he encourages others to cultivate gratitude, find wonder in everyday moments, and reconnect with the beauty that surrounds them.
When he’s not creating, James enjoys exploring the Irish countryside, studying history, and sharing meals with family and friends.
