Andreas Heidtmann

Andreas Heidtmann, born in Hünxe (Wesel, Germany) on the Lower Rhine. Studied piano in Cologne, German and philosophy in Berlin. Works as a publisher, editor and author.

Founded the web portal poetenladen in 2005 and the publishing house of the same name in 2007, which also publishes the literary magazine "poet*in". Author and publishing house received, among others, the Hermann Hesse Prize, the Lessing Prize, the Kurt Wolff Prize and the German Publishing Prize (2019, 2020, 2022).

In 2023 his novel "Plötzlich waren wir sterblich" (Faber & Faber) was published.

In 2020 his novel "Wie wir uns lange Zeit nicht küssen, als ABBA berühmt wurde" (Steidl Verlag) was published.
