As of October 2019, I live at 500 Swansea Mall Drive, Apt 109A, Swansea, Massachusetts. I have retired to live with my mother who is in her nineties. When I sit down at the typewriter to create my old-fashioned romance novels, I have no idea where the first paragraph will take me. The characters and the story line develop as I type. When I started writing in April of 2013 with the development of the Katie's Journey series, I had no idea that God would bless me with being able to publish 20 books in a year. I was writing from six to fourteen hours a day. If I didn't have my computer handy, I wrote on paper. Even now, I am usually juggling three books at a time, writing one, and editing two.
My relationship with God is very important to me. I don't leave him behind at church but hold his hand in my daily life relying on his protection and guidance along the way. I am a very positive person who looks forward to the next wonderful moment of life. I won't say that life is easy but developing one's character never happens during the easy times. I've been blessed to live a miraculous life and I share some of those moments with my readers in short stories at the back of my books.
When I started writing, God put on my heart to write about honorable men and women having a good moral character. That is what I endeavor to do. When I get stuck, I pray, and the ideas start to flow again. I try to mix moments of laughter into each book as well as those places that touch the heart. As of the end of 2021 I have written seventy books.
I do not read other books for two reasons. First, I never want to get ideas for my books from someone else. Second, few books are able to hold my attention. As soon as I am bored, I am lost. I have deleted so many pages of my own writings to avoid boredom. If the story won't hold my interest, then I don't keep the pages. I desire to write books that keep the reader so intrigued that it is difficult to put the story down.
