Prashant Hedao was born in India, and is trained as a Landscape Architect/Environmental Planner, GIS Analyst and an Architect and has worked in the fields of ecological planning, biodiversity conservation & post disaster rehabilitation planning. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Geography at University of California at Davis (USA). He has in the past worked in long-term tsunami rehabilitation planning at Auroville (South India), flood affected areas in northern India (Bihar), at Esri (Southern California), World Wildlife Fund-US (Washington DC), Environmental Agency of Abu Dhabi, UC Berkeley and Centre for Ecological Sciences at IISc (Bangalore).
He has a Masters in Landscape Architecture from University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia (USA) and a Bachelor in Architecture from Sir JJ College of Architecture, University of Mumbai (India).
