Tracy Lee Karner grew up near the Mississippi River where Minnesota meets Wisconsin, in the landscape formerly known as "The Big Woods." Of course her first favorite author was Laura Ingalls Wilder.
She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing and worked as an arts educator teaching dance, theater and poetry. She is now a writer, blogger and writing workshop instructor living in New England where she spends a crazy amount of time in the kitchen with her chef-husband, cooking.
If you live in or visit New England, you might bump into her exploring any interesting nook or cranny of the region's stunning geography or exciting history/culture. You're even more likely to meet her when whatever you're doing involves a leisurely long walk.
