Anthony Curtis Adler

Anthony Curtis Adler (1972-) was born in Princeton, N.J., and studied Philosophy of Religion at Princeton University. After spending a year in Freiburg im Breisgau at the Albert-Ludwigs Universitaet with a Fulbright Fellowship, he went on to earn a Ph.D. in German Literature and Critical Thought at Northwestern University, where he wrote his dissertation on Friedrich Hoelderlin's novel Hyperion. Since 2006, he has lived in Seoul, South Korea, where he is Professor of German and Comparative Literature at Yonsei University. He has written papers on Kant, Fichte, Hoelderlin, Hannah Arendt, Agamben, and Max Kommerell for such journals as Cultural Critique, Angelaki, Continental Philosophy Review, Seminar, and Diacritics.
