Melissa McGovern Taylor has been writing fiction for over a decade. She has a BA in writing from Methodist University. She released her first novel, The Road to Mercy, in 2010. In 2011, she received a local artist grant to support completion of her second novel, Enemy of Gideon, which she went on to publish in 2014. Her short story, "Gabe," won first place in the Salvation Army Writers Contest in 2013. Her first middle grade novel, Climb, was published in January of 2019.
