Austin Wright

A native Texan, Austin left the lone star state to live in what he calls the "Texas of Europe" for four years. While living in Australia, he got to experience first hand just how big and wonderful the world truly is. Over the next ten years he spent time in Russia, New Zealand, Israel, and on both coasts of the US.

He has spent the better part of the last decade working as an actor and director in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. During that time he met his long time producing and writing partner Adam Knox, of which that partnership has produced numerous award winning short films, three feature films, and a stack of screenplays three feet high.

He is thrilled to spend time working towards his passion which is telling great and compelling stories.

To give a little background on The Family DuMont series, the first steps into that world happened nearly ten years ago. It began as a short film idea, quickly blossomed into a feature film concept and then, when the exploration of the story wouldn't stop, it was then conceived as a television series. Austin and Adam both credit working on that series over such a long time as being the foundation for making them better writers, and have been excited to translate the screen story into a novel format.
