Jamie Borromeo

Jamie Borromeo is a Millennial commentator, author, entrepreneur, and activist with a deep understanding of the connection between personal development of leaders and their ability to change the world.

Working from the wisdom of philosophers and some of the greatest minds of our time, Jamie's leadership empowers future generations to become philanthropic and socially responsible business leaders and career professionals in the Millennial cohort--specifically those born between 1980-2000.

From her experience working on Capitol Hill to her successful endeavors as a young entrepreneur, her illuminating perspective sheds hope for future generations. Her goal is to inform readers on holistic approaches in addressing some of the challenges ahead while providing a new voice from America's youth in the national discourse.

She has developed retreats, leadership training and college tours that address what she believes is a major stumbling block to America's long economic recovery: the inability to develop the next generation of innovative entrepreneurs and career professionals. By focusing on Millennials, who will inherit the current economic and government policies of the country, she believes an intergenerational approach can change the trajectory of the nation.

Jamie's leadership philosophy has one mission: to engage her generation on how to transform society working from the inside out. Her core belief is that, in order to transform the societal mind (education), body (government), and spirit (community), one must focus on transforming their personal mind, body and spirit to channel their true purpose in the world.

She currently is the President of THE E&J COMMISSION LLC, a marketing and contract strategies firm based in Washington, D.C. She is also co-founder and CEO of GenerationDrive Entrepreneurs Network- a national non-profit that mentors young adult start-up firms. Ms. Borromeo has helped grow the organization, with chapters in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, Chicago, Austin, New York City, Boston and Washington, D.C. Ms. Borromeo has co-chaired the Clinton Foundation Millennial Event in both New York and Hollywood with President Clinton and Honorary Chair Chelsea Clinton to engage the next generation of leaders and philanthropists on global issues. She formerly served on the Small Business Advisory Group for the U.S. Department of Energy and was a founding member of the Democratic National Committee's Small Business Council.

As an established business woman and community advocate, Borromeo has consulted over a dozen Fortune 500 senior executives, elected officials, and community-based organizations on issues of economic development, public policy, supplier diversity, and government contracting.

Ms. Borromeo was former Executive Director of the National Council of Asian American Business Associations (NCAABA) based in Silicon Valley, which provides a voice for its coalition of 100 Asian American chambers of commerce. During her time at NCAABA, Ms. Borromeo was responsible for creating the signature program of the organization, The NCAABA Supplier Academy, where she managed accounts with Wells Fargo, Bloomingdale's, Apple, Southwest Airlines, Lockheed Martin Space Systems, and other U.S. based corporations.

Ms. Borromeo has extensive knowledge in public policy, with her background as former aide to San Jose Vice Mayor Madison Nguyen. She is also former intern to Congressman Mike M. Honda (CA-15) where she assisted in drafting Hurricane Katrina legislation on Capitol Hill. In 2012, she was invited by House Republicans to testify before Congress regarding the lack of subcontracting opportunities for women and minority-owned firms in America.

She is frequently invited as an expert on small business, women's rights, and Millennial generation issues for various conferences including: University of Pennsylvania's Law Student Association Conference, Organization of Chinese Americans National Convention in New York City, The National Association of Asian American Professionals Convention in Boston, The Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus Annual Conference on Capitol Hill, and the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies Conference.

Borromeo was named one of "America's Top Women Mentoring Leaders" in the 2011 issue of WOW Magazine. She has been featured on CNN's Reliable Sources, NBC, CBS Radio, AsianWeek, and Los Angeles Local Channel 18.

Borromeo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of California Santa Cruz, and is a recipient of the UCLA Anderson School of Management, Management Development for Entrepreneurs Certificate Program.

Borromeo was born and raised in Los Angeles and lives in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
