Dr. Margaret Aranda

Dr. Margaret Aranda was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of a rocket scientist. She volunteered for the local VA Medical Center while in college at California State University, Northridge, then graduated from USC School of Medicine. After completing Stanford anesthesiology and critical care, she went on to become Interim Chief of Anesthesiology at the Philadelphia VA, while an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania in three departments: Anesthesiology, Surgery/Traumatology, and Radiology.

After her father acquired Alzheimer's disease, she and her toddler daughter cared for him before he passed away. On the way home from visiting him, Dr. Aranda and Little Missy were in a tragic car accident that occurred because of a distracted driver. While Missy was fine, Dr. Aranda gradually became unable to walk or talk and was bedridden with a traumatic brain injury, dysautonomia/POTS, and a vertebral artery dissection and aneurysm - for twelve years.

During this time, she wrote books. The No More Tears book was written while very brain injured, and is collectible. The revised edition is coming soon! The Little Missy Two-Shoes books were there to teach toddlers how to have a ladybug party, and how to adjust to going back to school. She wrote the Guidebook to Low Back Pain to help her patients. The Rebel Patient was a culmination of how she learned to fight for her care, or die. New books include a Guidebook to Spike Protein Detox and a book on Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

In everything, Dr. Aranda answers to God and not to man. And she believes in miracles.
