Not just an author, I'm also an experienced travel and wintersports' journalist.
My first ski trip was in 1973 when I fell in love with the mountain lifestyle in the Alps at the age of 12. After 47 ski seasons (never missing a winter) and 14 years of ski journalism, I'm thoroughly versed in most aspects of the ski and snowboard industry and love researching and investigating new developments in wintersports. I write a non-profit ski blog, ‘One, Two, Ski!’ (http://www.onetwoski.blogspot.com/) and I'm the co-author of Winter Sport Tourism (http://www.goodfellowpublishers.com/wintersporttourism) as well as several other tourism textbooks all included on this site.
Since 2005 my ski and general travel articles have been published in multiple outlets both in print and online. For example in Canada: Ski Canada Magazine, Globe and Mail, Calgary Herald, SnowOnline News for skicanada.org, Ski Pro Mag, canada.com network, Calgary Sun, canoe.ca network, Calgary’s Child Magazine, More Magazine, Alberta Hospitality, BC Inn Focus and Eat.Drink.Travel magazine. In the USA: SNOW magazine (thesnowmag.com), LA Times, Boston Globe, The Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle, Sheen Magazine, HotelExecutive.com and Huntingdon Beach News. And in Europe: StyleAltitude.com for which I am the North American correspondent, Silver Travel Advisor, ABC magazine, travelmag.co.uk and www.tripedia.info. There have also been many more over the years.
Every season my ski adventures take me to Canada, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Tahoe - and in the past I have lived, worked and skied all over Europe in ritzy resorts such as Verbier and Meribel. My latest tourism textbook was published November 2019:A Worldwide Guide to Retirement Destinations - published by Cambridge Scholars.
I'm living in Sun Peaks, BC, Canada for the winter, skiing every day. If you need content or someone to make a story about of your business or products, contact me at louise.hudson2011@gmail.com for snappy, sizzling suggestions.
