I have been an educator for nearly 40 years. In my opinion, it's the best profession in the world. I taught at the secondary level for 25 years, did early retirement, and went to Bradley University to continue teaching (English and Communication). Having lived in Holland, I learned to love the old-world culture, and I have taken students (both secondary level and university level) for 20 years so that they realize that travel is the best means of education. Only so much can be taught within the four walls of a classroom, and then you have to "see" the places about which you have read. My young adult novels are adventure, travel, fantasy, and fun. My creative nonfiction books are also Europe-based stories, and my one self-help book was written to help my wounded Inner Child to heal.

Whoever you are and wherever you are, turn off the television, shut down the computer, put away digital games, and do what?? READ!!
