Lorin Hochstein

Lorin Hochstein was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, though you'd never guess he was a Canadian by his accent, other than his occasional tendency to say "close the light". He is a recovering academic, having spent two years on the tenure track as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and another four years as a computer scientist at the University of Southern California's Information Sciences Institute. He earned his BEng. in Computer Engineering at McGill University, his MS in Electrical Engineering at Boston University, and his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. He is currently a Senior Software Engineer on the Chaos Engineering Team at Netflix.
