I live in Salem, Oregon with my dog, Chacho, and my musician husband, Randy Knowles, who writes music and plays electric and acoustic guitar.
I love to read! My favorite genres are science fiction, suspense, horror, mystery, classics, and literary fiction. My favorite authors are Charles Dickens, John Steinbeck, H.G. Wells, Isaac Asimov, Phillip K. Dick, Aldous Huxley, Ray Bradbury, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Grisham, Richard Paul Evans, and Mitch Albom. Quite an eclectic group. I am in two book clubs and love to write reviews of the books I read for my blog: disturbingtheuniverseblog.com, where I also enjoy writing articles on various social and philosophical topics. Check it out and follow me!
In addition to writing novels and blogging, I enjoy journaling, writing poetry, short stories, and screenplays. In fact I have already written the screenplay for The Ezekiel Project. I hope to see it on the big screen someday. I love movies and good television. I am addicted to Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and Downton Abbey. Again, an eclectic mix.
Health is important to me as well. Living in Oregon affords me the opportunity to enjoy nature while walking my dog, biking, doing yoga, and meditating. I also enjoy cooking organic meals, belly dancing, and any artistic outlet, including painting, drawing, and photography.
However, my greatest satisfaction comes from writing. I am working on my next novel, a book of short stories, and a sequel to The Ezekiel Project, and I recently published a collection of poetry about life, Signs of Life, A Memoir in Poems. I hope you will check them out in the future!
