I grew up in Canada leaving there at a young age to move to Europe. My memoir is about the next 27 years of my travels. While living in foreign countries I often took jobs teaching English in private schools, or individually. With an interest in languages I tried to pick up that of countries I lived in to better communicate with the populace.
After returning to America I worked with a local school district for 10 years. I was often asked to write down the stories I loved to tell. This resulted in this memoir and travelogue.
I now live on the Central Coast of California and travel yearly back to Europe as my daughter and youngest granddaughter live in Paris, France. My son and oldest granddaughter live here on the Central Coast in close proximity. For the past 17 years I have volunteered at a church thrift shop as well as other local activities.
I continue to write about European travels and am working on my second book about my 30 year search for my biological mother.
