A.L.Scott

A.L. Scott has been writing poetry and fiction since she was eight years old. At fourteen she began letting her school friends read excerpts of a story they all featured in, which gave birth to her first (unpublished) novella-length work of fiction.

After more than 30 years in the advertising industry, Scott turned her attention from commercial writing and design and began to focus again on her love of fiction, producing a blog and submitting short works for publication.

Her first official published piece, 'Reminiscing', featured in 'Giant Tales (3-Minute Stories) - World of Pirates', and revolves around a deadline issue of his own.

Her second published piece, 'Host' - which features in the 'Science Fiction Consortium' short story anthology, published by Jot Russell - centres around a futuristic Earth where humanity lives in domes above the planet... but life is anything but Utopian.

At the end of 2014, 'Ark' was published as part of the 'Final Ships In the Neighborhood (Giant Tales Apocalypse 10-Minute Stories Book 2)' anthology. Ark deals with the themes of time paradoxes versus humanity on the brink of extinction.

Scott moved back to Australia in late 2014 with her therapist husband and young daughter to continue onto the next exciting chapter in their journey.
