Lucy Stroud is a PhD Candidate in Law pursuing a constellation of research interests in international law, governance of the global commons, law of the sea and the polar realms. This study is enriched by her projects as an international law consultant with United Nations partners, non-governmental organizations and indigenous tribes; and her membership of global think tanks from the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law to the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. At present, she contributes to building capacity in international environmental law within Pacific territories for the ACP-MEAs Programme: a collaboration between the New Zealand Centre for Environmental Law, Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme and the United Nations Environment Programme. Her publications include Multilateral Environmental Agreement Negotiator’s Handbook: Pacific Region 2013 (SPREP/New Zealand Centre for Environmental Law, 2013) and Common Heritage of Mankind: A Bibliography of Legal Writing (Fondation de Malte, 2013).
