Jean-Jacques VITRAC started publishing his first book in 1974, when he was a professional journalist in Europe.
The title of his book was "Decouvrez l'Exportation" ("Discover Export"), a practical guide for French Exporters to
gain access to foreign export markets. French President Valery Giscard d;Estaing praised the book, one of the first in its
category. The French media and press followed with excellent reviews.
Later, the French government asked Vitrac to contribute to a book published in French by Centre Francais du Commerce Exterieur (CFCE) under the title: "Doing Business in California" and co-authored by several international trade experts based in San Francisco and in the Silicon Valley. The French-American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco also contributed to the book.
In the following years, Vitrac helped French corporations, corporate executives and students to export to the US by opening
a private and very successful business incubator in the Napa Valley.
At that time, Vitrac organized trade missions with the Governor of California, Pete Wilson. The Governor asked Vitrac to
display a French region at the Sacramento State Fair and Vitrac selected the French Riviera region (PACA) to participate.
Later, Vitrac was part of the first sister-city delegation to Paris, led by the Mayor of San Francisco.
As a published author, Vitrac wrote the first biography of Anne Beffort, a friend of Robert Schuman who is considered as
"the Father of modern Europe".
Finally, Vitrac was asked by Brian Tracy to co-author and join "the world leading entrepreneurs and professionals to reveal
their roadmap to success". The book was published and became a best seller under the title "Driven".
