Lindsay Thomas Jr. is a lifelong deer hunter, outdoor journalist and professional editor from Georgia. He is the Director of Communications for the nonprofit Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA), where he serves as editor of QDMA's "Quality Whitetails" magazine and the QDMA website, www.QDMA.com. He served as editor and contributing author of QDMA's book, "Deer Cameras: The Science of Scouting," which won the 2010 Pinnacle Award from the Professional Outdoor Media Association for best book of the year. He also served as co-editor of QDMA's book "Quality Food Plots," the highest-selling book on deer food plots ever published. Prior to joining the staff of QDMA in 2003, he served as an editor of Georgia Outdoor News magazine. He has published hundreds of articles on deer hunting and management in numerous publications and websites. He earned his journalism degree at the University of Georgia, and he is a member of the Professional Outdoor Media Association and the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association. Lindsay lives in Georgia with his wife, Anne, and their children, Jake, Laurel and Julia.
