Tami Cannizzaro

A Dallas-based marketing and public relations consultant, motivational speaker and mentor, Tami Cannizzaro found herself facing a minor identity crisis after a layoff. Determined to find the silver lining--after all, there's always a silver lining--she discovered that there's humor in what can be an unstable and sometimes frightening situation. She began chronicling her experiences navigating through this journey on her blog, Tales of the Terminated® and in 2012 she released "Tales of the Terminated®: A Humorous Look at Life After a Layoff," a collection of excerpts from the blog.

In 2013, she released a top-selling new collection of essays centered on career relaunch entitled "Adventures in the Discomfort Zone." The book focuses on new experiences, observations and humor about career relaunch, life-threatening illnesses, mean ol' mothers-in-law and monogamous interviewing.
