Laura Hughes

Laura Hughes is an award-winning, and best-selling illustrator of picture books for children. She has created artwork for over 20 books, including ‘The Forgettery' by Rachel Ip, and ‘Hop Little Bunnies’ by Martha Mumford. In 2018 Laura won the Oscar’s Book Prize with author John Dougherty, for their book ‘There’s a Pig Up My Nose’.

Laura's illustrations are loose, energetic and have a human touch. Inks are her favourite medium, but she also loves working with gouache paint and crayons. When she's finished making a mess at her desk, she scans and edits her images digitally.
