JAYNE OLDFIELD BLATCHLY, AUTHOR:

Jayne Oldfield Blatchly is the daughter of Otis Oldfield and Helen Clark Oldfield. She grew up among many noted artists at the art colleges where her father was a professor. She graduated from the Sarah Dix Hamllin School where her mother was the art and art history teacher for nealy 25 years. She holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and is the archivist and trustee for her parent's estate. She founded Inkwell Publishing in 1990 producing the Catalog, Otis Oldfield Centennial, 1890 - 1980. Recently she has co-written and published a 359 page illustrated non-fiction book, Otis Oldfield - Complete Lithographs. The book documents her father's contribution to the WPA art scene in the mid 1930s. HELEN CLARK OLDFIELD A Pictured Life was written to exemplify a woman artist's life who belatedly is becoming a recognized name in the contemporary art world.
