Laura is a first-generation American born in Chicago, Illinois to a Canadian father and a German-born mother. Her family, including two brothers, lived in Chicago, Toronto, and later McAllen, Texas, where she attended University of Texas, Pan American. As an adult, Laura married and moved to one of her favorite cities, Austin, Texas. There, one of her favorite jobs was working at a Montessori school. Upon moving to the California Bay Area, where her two daughters were born, she began work as a kindergarten teacher. Among the many different jobs she's held, her favorites have always revolved around children. After moving to Fresno, Ca., Laura became a Realtor and happily married the love of her life, Cliff Lloyd. She enjoyed welcoming his two children into the family and will always cherish the fun times they all shared. She resides in Fresno with Cliff, dogs Dude & Teddi, & cats Sunshine, Mama, and Kitty G. Willikers--the latter famous as the neighborhood greeter on the block.
