Lasher Lane

Lasher Lane's inspiration for her debut novel was her tiny, riverfront town, nestled under the towering Palisades, and a 1975 New York Times article, which cited its residents suffered daily from "solar deprivation," living in their 200-foot shadow.

Her inspiration to write comes from having worked many years for Prentice-Hall in book composition as a graphic artist and vertical camera operator. Her fiction and creative nonfiction have been published in Volume 1 Brooklyn's Sunday Stories, Hippocampus, Foliate Oak, the Zodiac Review, Down in the Dirt, Obra/Artifact, Hypertext and Tinge.
