Jonathon A. Cooper

Jonathon A. Cooper (1982 - ) earned his doctorate in criminology and criminal justice from Arizona State University in 2012. He is currently on faculty at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, where he typically teaches classes in policing, complex organization, and statistics, and occasionally lectures at Saint Vincent College. He also serves as the Dean's Associate for Academic Affairs in the College of Health and Human Services. Cooper is committed not only to the theoretical understanding of modern police organizations, but to his students: his teaching philosophy begins and ends with "students are neither nuisances nor currency: they are what we are here for."
