David A. Yeats

David A. Yeats, LCSW, psychotherapist, spouse, parent, and former teacher, program director, and inn owner, has taught at all levels, presented at local and national workshops to professionals and lay folks, and co-founded the Boulder Men’s Center. His primary focus in his Boulder practice now is individual, couples, and relationship work, which inspired David's first book, (2014), "Co-Creating a Brilliant Relationship: A Journey of Deepening Connection, Meaning, and Joy," which explores one’s relationship with self, partner, and the world-at-large.

The last chapter, “Co-Creating a Brilliant Relationship with All That Is,” turned out to be a catalyst for his second book, (2019), entitled "A Universe Full of Magical Things: A Cosmic View Beyond the Myths of Religion and Scientific Materialism." David is an armchair theoretician who was disturbed by the apparent flaws and falsehood of the “standard model” of science and the premise of the primacy of matter, which dismisses the very notion of consciousness—and which, he found, is the true first cause of our existence. He has long been interested in the subjects of consciousness, quantum theory, evolution, and in how these features of nature fit together, as well as what that may mean for us humans. It's a bit denser than the first book, but since he's a layman with regard to these subjects, it's accessible to anyone interested in them, and it represents a cutting edge synthesis and a new paradigm befitting the 21st century.

David has been married to his wife, Sheri, for 38 years, and has five adult children and 9 (!) grandchildren. He lives and works in Boulder, Colorado.
