J.H. (Joseph Henry) Barron was born in Kent in 1984, the youngest son of a scientist and a teacher. He developed an appetite for reading and storytelling from an early age and during his life he has written numerous short stories, plays and scripts for TV, film and radio.
He was educated at the University of East Anglia from 2003-2006, where he attained a 2:1 degree in English Literature. It was during this time that he honed his writing skills by joining the University's Creative Writing Society, and had several short stories and poems published in "Concrete", UEA's campus newspaper. Shortly after graduating in 2006 he started his first novel, "Sarah: The Empress of the Galaxy", a science fiction adventure story aimed at a young adult audience. "Sarah" finally saw completion six years later in 2012 and was published as an independent ebook the year after. It was first published via Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing and made it into the "Top 100 Paid" chart for children's science fiction. More recently, "Sarah" has been published in a paperback edition via Createspace, Amazon's independent publishing platform.
J.H. Barron lives and works in London. His current writing projects include a picture book for very young children and a sequel to "Sarah". He is an avid reader of all types of literature and would love to hear your thoughts on his writing. You can contact him at his Twitter account @JH_Barron.
