Rachel Ament is a writer, editor and Dance Moms historian living in Washington, DC. She has been published in the New York Times, The Paris Review, NPR, Good Housekeeping, Shape, Teen Vogue, and Oxygen, among other publications. She edited and compiled the book of essays Jewish Daughter Diaries: True Stories of Being Loved Too Much By Our Moms, featuring writing by The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik and The Daily Show’s Jena Friedman. Her short film “Tell Me About Orange” was recently produced by the Cannes-nominated filmmaker Jane Barbara and was the recipient of a grant from the Cusumano Finishing Fund.
