Faye-Josephine Beerling

Faye-Josephine Beerling grew up in a National Children's home in Chislehurst, Kent. She first started writing rhyming stories when she was 25, enjoying it simply as a hobby. In 2006 she moved to Fordwich in Kent, reputedly Britain's smallest Town, and whilst meandering the beautiful English countryside, came up with the idea of writing about a small bunch of rather eccentric river creatures and their mostly hapless adventures. It was not until 2013 that she re-visited the first book in the series (Nautical Chaos) and finally decide to give up her career and concentrate on becoming a full-time writer. To date she has now completed the series entitled 'River Tales From Old Glossop's Bridge which includes all three titles, 'Nautical Chaos, 'A Country Ramble' and 'Avery Windy Day,' and her latest book titled, 'Tales From The Clock Tower' is an historical account of How Herne Bay came to have it's very own free-standing Clock Tower, using rhyme and delightfully enchanting characters.
