I am an award winning artist originally from Boston MA, a true Yankee who now lives in the Great big Southern town of Greenville, SC. During high school, I got a full scholarship to Massachusetts College of Art. I went on to become a well know glass artist and had commissions as far and wide as Germany, Japan and Alaska. I am also a writer - one published short story, numerous articles in publications and two published (so far) novels on Amazon.
For a short time, around 9 years or so, I appeared in many plays on the Emily Ann stage in Wimberley TX in musicals and was a member of the Second Act Troupe where I played many comedic roles. My husband and I acted together on stage many times. He usually had leading roles while my roles tended to be the comic relief. My acting career is just about over because I want to concentrate on my writing.
My husband and I have renovated 7 historic houses, doing most of the work ourselves. We also built 4 houses, two were framed by others while we did all the interior work. We usually lived in the houses while we renovated. We'd enjoy living there until we got tired of looking at it and then we'd sell it. We think it's a sickness because we are now in our 60's and even though we've quit building, we think about it often. I also include some anecdotes about building in some of my novels.
My next novel is a comedic mystery, with slap stick elements. I have so much fun writing that sometimes I forget to eat. My husband finally bought me some protein shakes so that I can eat and run!
We love to travel and have many friends all over the world. We've seen much of our own country, good old USA, and plan to continue travelling to lands far away. A few years ago I became a dual citizen to Italy (because of my heritage) and we plan to stay there for several weeks at some point. We will be travelling to Great Britain this September.
As you can see, we work as a team. Hubby does many of my book covers and much of the editing on my novels. He will drop what he's doing to help me out with whatever problem I happen to have. We also enjoy each other's company and we laugh a lot.
