Kim Macleod is passionate about boosting resilience with real life happiness.
Born in 1966 in a small town in Lanarkshire,Scotland she grew up within a supportive family who encouraged her to have fun, be happy and look out for others.
While working in her career in Human Resources she sought new ways to help people struggling with emotional issues and qualified as NLP practitioner, Hypnotherapist, EFT practitioner and read lots of on positive psychology, neuro science, quantum physics, spirituality and personal development. After a big birthday Kim took the leap into self employment creating Stress the Positive as a service to offer a positive route out of stress, depression, grief or anxiety by focusing on happiness.
Within ten months of starting her business in 2007, she found herself in the bleakest of times when her son died from meningitis. Kim then used every technique she had learned to pull herself from the black hole. She founded The Happiness Club in 2011, created Scotland's Happiness Day in 2012 and was awarded a Happy Hero medal for UN International Day of Happiness in 2013.
Kim published her first book From Heartbreak to Happiness in Nov 2013.
Kim lives with her crime writing husband Sinclair Macleod and daughter Kirsten in Bishopbriggs near Glasgow, Scotland. When not teaching happiness classes, she helps writers to self publish their books, makes quilts, laughs with friends and family and continues to learn new things.
