My pen name is Danny Tyran. I am French Canadian and I live in a picturesque village in Quebec Province. I was born in 1975. I'm bisexual and married with a man for over ten years.
Since my early childhood, I imagined myself living all kinds of adventures that I didn't write. Not yet. But as a teenager, I began scribbling texts that I threw away, because I didn't find them good enough to be preserved, not even in a box at the bottom of a closet. I imagined my first story while I was still a teenager, but I wrote and published it many years later.
A few years ago, I found a floppy disk that was an erotic BDSM story that I wrote several years earlier. I reread, edited and sent it to a French publisher (Esclave à l'entraînement). Since then, I have almost only two hobbies: reading and writing. I published many books in French that you can find here : My books.
Inspiration and working method
My inspiration comes largely from personal experiences of Domination/submission and BDSM that I lived a few years ago. I had a Master and a Mistress, and a male and a female submissives (one after the other). I experienced for several years and, without wanting to brag, I could say that I covered just about everything you can imagine living in this eccentric world, except what could affect health or life, mines or my subs'. But since then, I've known people interested by "edge play", so I can describe these extreme games too.
I am also inspired by what I read and what I found on the Internet. If you lack a descriptive detail for a scene with a specific BDSM activity, search the web and you can be sure to find the missing element.
My day or night dreams play a key role too. I happened to completely rewrite a chapter because of what I had dreamed the night before.
I have some friends, also authors of erotic novels, with whom I communicate regularly. Sometimes they ask me about BDSM plays I experienced. It's possible for me to ask them, if one aspect of what I am writing escapes me, and I know I can get relevant advice or an interesting idea of one of them.
I write when I have free time and I'm not too tired: weekends, evenings, sometimes even at night. On weekdays, I work according to my availability to revising, editing, and translating English texts into French. These are texts written by other authors who pay for my services. But I can organize my agenda to my liking. This sometimes gives me time, even on weekdays to work on my own stories.
Weather permitting, I set up in a comfortable chair on the porch or, if the weather is not mild enough, I work inside with my computer on my lap. But whatever the case, I have a beverage, usually water, tea or coffee, but sometimes beer or wine on a table beside me. In the creative process, sometimes I put on some inspiring music, but when editing or translating, the songs of birds visiting my backyard and the surrounding woods are enough.
