Daniel Thiering, born in 1977, grew up in Upper Bavaria, south of Munich. He came into contact with fantasy literature at an early age and soon made his first attempts at writing.
He studied history and american studies in Munich, where he also wrote his first serious and longer stories between odd jobs in transport research, as a research assistant, and as a tutor.
He now works as an editor for a company in the new media sector and writes under various pseudonyms in different literary styles.
The knowledge he acquired during his studies about the Middle Ages and antiquity is a source of inspiration for his fantasy works, and cross-references in the form of place names or character names are entirely intentional. In the field of fantasy, he cites David Eddings and Dean Koontz in particular as his great role models.
Daniel Thiering lives and works in Munich.
