Jonathan Blum is the author of THE USUAL UNCERTAINTIES, which was named One of the 15 Best Short Story Collections of 2019 by Electric Literature, and LAST WORD, a novella, which was named one of the best books of the year by Iowa Public Radio. Both his books were published by Rescue Press. Blum grew up in Miami and graduated from UCLA and the Iowa Writers' Workshop. His stories have appeared in Gulf Coast, Kenyon Review, Playboy, and elsewhere. He has twice appeared on KCRW's Bookworm. He has received a Michener-Copernicus Society of America Award and a Hawthornden fellowship. He was a guest writer at the Tianjin Binhai New Area international writing program in China.
