When asked why she loves writing:

"After I began writing paranormal romance books, it was specifically for the adult female ages 18 - 60. I just felt like there seemed to be a missing link for this age group. I also believe that even the supernatural world can begin at any age in life. I have no idea where my desire for writing came from, but Inhave always loved to write and things just seem to flow easily. I write using the same ideas as is done for TV and movies. I use storyboarding, and scene development. Each seen my readers will read is done by taking the idea, running it through as s full scene as if it were for TV or movies, then I literally act it out. Once done, then it is written."

LK was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and adopted by Curtis and Jerry Smith. Her hometown from the age of seven months was Fort Smith, Arkansas. At 17, she toured Europe, and learned that not everything about World History was written! She also celebrated with the French on Bastille Day, July 14, on the Champs-Élysées.

She graduated from Westark Community College (now known as University of Arkansas Fort Smith, or UAFS) with an Associate of Arts Degree in Music, and a minor English. As of 2012, she is also a Freelance Book , Article, and website Editor.

She loves to read anything, and everything, but most specifically that which has to do with the Supernatural World and Romance. To date, she has written 4 books, an Is about to release her newest, and first free-standing book.

LK Kelley lives in Barling, Arkansas which is a suburb of Fort Smith, AR.

She has been married for 43 years to Wes, her true soul mate, and it feels as if it's only been a month. They have one daughter, Laura, who lives in Colorado.
